Registration fees include the welcome cocktail, lunches, coffee breaks and poster session refreshments.
The gala dinner is not included in the registration fee; tickets will be available for 60 Euros.
The gala dinner and the catering for lunches, coffe breaks and refreshments will be prepared by students and teachers of the Orio Vergani High School, a specialized professional institute for eno-gastronomic and hotel services in Ferrara. The Orio Vergani High School is a renowned institute deeply rooted in the local traditions and territories, whose students and teachers already took care of banquets for many events and personalities visiting Ferrara. The service for the SMBE2023 meeting will be part of students’ curriculum of studies.
Fee for remote attendance registration: 75 Euros.
The Society will waive Early Bird registration fees for society members (in person or online participation, registration before 05/05/23) because of their inability to pay it. Priority will be given to:
students & early career researchers from the global south and scientists in regions of conflict;
students & early career researchers around the world (the request should be accompanied by a letter from student/researcher advisor stating that no active funds for support are available or that the applicant currently does not have an advisor);
researchers without active grants.

Notice of cancellation must be made in writing to the Conference Secretariat.
The amount of refund will depend on the date of cancellation as follows:
Until April 16th: 100% of the registration fee
From April 17th through June 15th: 50% of the registration fee
From June 16th: No refund
*Bank transfer fee will be deducted from the amount to be paid back.
*All refunds will be made after the Meeting.
Childcare will be freely available for children from 6 months to 12 years old; more information available here.
